My first assignment was about the new internet generation web 2.0. It has been interesting to discover and analyzing the different virtual companies that have bubbled up in these recent years. A good directory for finding web 2.0 companies can be find under go2web20.net.

The course is coming to an end, the last lesson will be hold next wednesday from 10-12. Also if we had just few lessons I'm very happy to have decided to take this course. Through the papers, homepage creation and lessons I have acquired valuable knowledge that I will bring home to Italy.

Finding a HTML editor

In a week we have our next lesson. During the last period I've started to work around the webpage that we have to develop for the course. I've been looking around for a good HTML editor. The choice is big, there are lots of freely available tools but what I need is a tool that is intuitive and easy to use as my html programming knowledge is limited. While seraching I found it astonishing on how many companies offer hosting and web page creation tools for free. For instance on shopify.com you can create a online shop using a professional design and layout within few minutes for free.
For my homepage I finally decided to use the HTML editor NVU, it is easy to use and most important it is free and open source.

Next lesson has been fixed on Wednesday from 10-12 on week 48. We fixed the deadlines for the assignment; on the 4th of decembre we have to hand in the paper on the chosen subject and for the 11th of decembre we have to hand in the heuristic evaluation.

Tuesday the 19th of september we have the 2nd lesson of Interactive Media. Tomorrow I will give a short presentation of the design and idea of the homepage that I would like to create during this course.
